About Me

My Professional History

I received my BA from Miami University Ohio in Psychology and Social Work, after which I volunteered through AmeriCorps NCCC program.

I moved to Chicago in 1999 and graduated with my Masters in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago in 2001.

For 4 years I worked at Community Counseling Center of Chicago (C4). Then, for 20 years I was a part of a remarkable therapy practice, Womencare Counseling & Training Center, through which I also coordinated the Natalie Haimowitz Postgraduate Fellowship Program.

I specialize in treating trauma, including PTSD and CPTSD; grief, anxiety, depression, relationship and identity challenges.

I have been trained in psychodynamic, attachment-based, trauma-informed, feminist-relational, anti-oppression, dialectical behavioral and humanistic approaches.
